Ultrasound therapy uses high pulsed sound waves that occur above the level of normal human detection. The sound waves at our office are purposefully pulsed to avoid excessive heating of the tissues. The ultrasound helps to kinetically push swelling/inflammation out of the tissues and this allows a more rapid healing.
Ultrasound helps with arthritic conditions, various tendinitis problems and in the reduction of scar tissue/adhesions from both current and previous injuries.
